Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Mclane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zed Zeddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zed Zeddy!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeddy stuns Mclane with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Mclane lands a jab to the nose.
Zeddy takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mclane goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mclane throws a one two combo.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mclane is defended easily by Zeddy.
Zeddy takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mclane scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Zeddy wants to take a breather but Mclane is having none of it.
Zeddy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are battling for position here. Mclane manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

That was a close round but I would say that John Mclane will probably get the nod.

Mclane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zeddy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mclane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zeddy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zeddy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mclane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Zed Zeddy wasn't active enough on the ground.

Zeddy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mclane with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mclane shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zeddy but Zeddy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mclane isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Zeddy stacks Mclane on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Zeddy!

You can see the frustration on Mclane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Zeddy tries to advance to mount but Mclane denies him.
Zeddy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
