And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gram Prodigy!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Good standup being displayed there by Thompson as he connects with a hook.
Thompson leaves Prodigy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Prodigy shoots in but no luck this time.
Prodigy looks for a takedown but Thompson sprawls well.
Ed Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gram Prodigy.

Thompson cracks Prodigy with an uppercut from hell and Prodigy crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Thompson's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Prodigy is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thompson loads up on a big left hand. Prodigy felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Thompson looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Prodigy can't hide his disappointment, as Thompson celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Thompson!
Ed Thompson opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
