Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Reel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaco Shaco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lars Reel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaco Shaco!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaco gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Reel trying to control here.
Shaco looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Reel trying to control from the bottom.
Shaco stalling.
Shaco is pressing down on Reel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reel is holding on for now.
Shaco is looking to take a break and control but Reel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jaco Shaco hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Shaco shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Reel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Shaco shoots in and gets a takedown into Reel's guard.
Shaco seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Reel wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Shaco is now in half guard.
Reel is not content to let Shaco control the position.

Shaco is thwarting Reel's attempts to control the position.

Reel wants to control but Shaco is keeping busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Reel shoots in but Shaco avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shaco connects with a body shot that sends Reel's belly button to the back.

Shaco shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Reel's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shaco not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Reel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shaco is one step ahead there.
Reel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Shaco!
Reel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Reel working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Reel looking to ground and pound but Shaco is blocking nicely.
Shaco is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jaco Shaco will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Shaco looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Reel!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reel manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Shaco is stalling here. Reel is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Shaco seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Reel has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Shaco tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Shaco is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Reel gets his way!
Shaco should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Reel punches the canvas rather than the man.
Shaco prevents Reel from getting a body triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Reel struggling to land strikes to the head as Shaco covers up.

Reel is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Shaco knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Shaco for a finish.
A lull in the action here.

Reel looking for the choke but no joy.

Reel is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Shaco defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Shaco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Will Reel go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lars Reel dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Reel misses with a takedown attempt - Shaco sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Reel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Reel tries to clinch there but Shaco circles away.
Reel throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Jaco Shaco has been cut.
Reel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shaco manages to avoid it.
Shaco cracks Reel with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Shaco stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lars Reel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shaco connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Shaco scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shaco is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Reel's shoulder. That is not cool.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Reel is trying to buck Shaco off.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Reel tries to bench press Shaco off him but Shaco keeps the position.

You can see the frustration on Reel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Reel gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Shaco connects with a body shot.
Shaco tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shaco somewhat.

Reel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Shaco defends it easily.
Shaco looking to pass the guard.
Shaco controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Reel looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jaco Shaco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Shaco has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
