The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues misses with a head kick.
Rodrigues is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gracie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rodrigues shoots for a double leg takedown but Gracie sprawls well. He's pushed Rodrigues's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Anderson Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rodrigues changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but Rodrigues manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rodrigues dives in and grabs Gracie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes down on Rodrigues's head and hops out.

Rodrigues throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gracie blocks it with crossed arms.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rodrigues takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Rodrigues is trying to push Gracie away but Gracie has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rodrigues is trying to pull guard but Gracie turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gracie wants to take the fight to the mat but Rodrigues manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Rodrigues is trying to push Gracie away but Gracie has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rodrigues is looking to take this one to the mat.
Gracie goes for a takedown attempt but Rodrigues pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Gracie and the ref steps in to end the fight! Gracie can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
