Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martti Nakutin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Stepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Stepp's choice of entrance music: Wherever I May Roam . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Martti Nakutin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steven Stepp!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stepp shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stepp throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Stepp darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Stepp shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nakutin but Nakutin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stepp misses with a takedown attempt
and Nakutin counters with an outside leg kick.
Martti Nakutin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Stepp.

and Nakutin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stepp tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Nakutin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Nakutin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nakutin throws a head kick that Stepp semi-blocks.


It looks like Steven Stepp has been cut.
Nakutin goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Nakutin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stepp avoids the head kick by Nakutin.
Stepp closes the distance but Nakutin moves to the side
and Nakutin counters with a left and a right that stings Stepp.
Stepp has his takedown stuffed
and Nakutin counters with a nice uppercut.

Stepp tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nakutin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stepp somewhat.
Nakutin throws a push kick but Stepp slaps the foot to one side.
Nakutin misses with an uppercut. Stepp saw that one coming.
Stepp lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Nakutin gets caught napping as Stepp dives in and scores a takedown. Nakutin manages to retain guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Nakutin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stepp manages to get himself to full guard.

Nakutin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stepp is controlling him.
Stepp throws an elbow that misses. Nakutin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stepp's guard. Nice move by Nakutin!
Stepp wants to get back to his feet but Nakutin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

and Nakutin counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Stepp is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Stepp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nakutin.

Nakutin looks to land a left hand but Stepp moved out of range nicely.

and Nakutin counters with a nice body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stepp misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Nakutin counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nakutin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Stepp shoots for a double leg takedown but Nakutin sprawls well. He's pushed Stepp's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stepp throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nakutin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stepp.
Stepp fails with an attempt to clinch.

Stepp shoots in and bounces Nakutin off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stepp distracts Nakutin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Stepp in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Stepp throws a strike but Nakutin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Stepp manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stepp unloads with some shots from mount but Nakutin bucks and avoids them well.

Stepp can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nakutin is looking to escape.
Nakutin tries to lock up and control but Stepp gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Nakutin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Stepp prevents Nakutin from getting the reversal.
Stepp has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Nakutin is rocked!
Nakutin can't escape the position.
Nakutin is bucking up trying to escape but Stepp cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Oh Nakutin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Steven Stepp has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stepp postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Nakutin badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Stepp around the waist but Stepp pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Stepp is the winner by TKO! Stepp jumps onto the ropes and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steven Stepp!
Steven Stepp decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
