Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyuzo Mifune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mifune closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Steele to the mat! Steele manages to get full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Steele is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mifune defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Steele is on top in guard.

Mifune is looking for a triangle but Steele pushes his legs off easily.

Steele uses his free foot to push down on Mifune's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mifune.
Mifune is bucking up trying to escape but Steele cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Mifune tries to lock up and control but Steele gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Steele lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Steele has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mifune's face.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
