Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Meeoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meeoff comes into a darkened arena with his song building. bawitaba kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Woods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jack Meeoff!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Woods dodges the punch combination from Meeoff.
A head kick misses from Meeoff.
Meeoff tries to bum rush Woods with a series of wild strikes but Woods uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Meeoff misses with a double jab
and Woods counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Meeoff shoots for a double leg takedown but Woods sprawls well. He's pushed Meeoff's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Meeoff rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Woods moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Meeoff fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Woods avoids it really well and circles away.
Meeoff throws a right and a left that both miss.

Jack Meeoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Woods drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Meeoff is trying to pull guard but Woods has him pressed against the cage.
James Woods has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Meeoff.
Meeoff has had enough of the clinch but Woods keeps him there for the moment.

Meeoff has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woods can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Woods connects with a couple of short punches.
Woods throwing strikes from guard but Meeoff blocks nicely.

Meeoff had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Woods defends it easily.

Woods got a little sloppy there for a moment and Meeoff has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Woods has managed to get both his arms back between Meeoff's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Woods passes into half guard.
Woods wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meeoff keeps working.
Woods works his foot free and advances to mount.
Meeoff is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meeoff is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Woods lands with some strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Woods is landing with some decent strikes but Meeoff is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
