Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Tamad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tamad has chosen The Joker as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan misses the shot to the body.
Tamad leaves Morgan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tamad connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Morgan momentarily.
Morgan shoots in for a takedown but Tamad shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tamad lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Morgan looks to clinch
and Tamad counters with a straight right hand.
Morgan tries to bum rush Tamad with a series of wild strikes but Tamad uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Morgan counters with a left and a right that stings Tamad.
That kick from Tamad tenderised Morgan's leg. Morgan is trying to keep his angry face on.

Tamad stuns Morgan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Tamad throws a sloppy head kick and Morgan moves out of range easily.

Morgan is looking to clinch but Tamad is avoiding it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Tamad has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A head kick misses from Morgan.

Tamad tries to sprawl but Morgan drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tamad is positioning himself well to prevent Morgan advancing to mount.

Tamad connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Morgan's hands.

Oh Morgan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tamad works Morgan's body with a nice hook.
Tamad scores with a kick to the midsection.
Morgan seems to have got his legs back now.
Tamad does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Morgan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tamad quickly recovers to half guard.
Tamad is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Tamad swings for the body but Morgan moves out of range.

Oooooh!!! Tamad has knocked Morgan down with a huge combo! Tamad steps away and waves a wobbly Morgan back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Tamad is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Morgan like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Morgan from another fist facial!
