Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mordecai Wollsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pettis comes to the cage accompanied by UFC - Face the Pain. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mordecai Wollsey!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A swing and a miss from Wollsey.
Pettis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wollsey.
Pettis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wollsey circles away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Wollsey.
Wollsey connects with a body shot that sends Pettis's belly button to the back.

Wollsey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pettis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wollsey has managed to get both his arms back between Pettis's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mordecai Wollsey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
