Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Simon Schultz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page digs a good body shot into Schultz's ribs.
Page fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Schultz manages to avoid it.

Page drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Schultz keeping moving, preventing Page from controlling successfully.
Page loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Page looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bryan Page was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Page throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Schultz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Page manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Page throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Schultz was covering up waiting for the punch and Page finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Page has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Page seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Schultz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Page working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bryan Page has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Bryan Page comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Page has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
