The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Good leg kick by Hamilton there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Patrick fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The crowd cheers as Patrick lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hamilton doesn't seem phased though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Patrick is trying to push Hamilton away but Hamilton has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Hamilton is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Patrick pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Patrick lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Hamilton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Patrick avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Patrick makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Patrick is pressed up against the ropes. Hamilton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Patrick down to the mat. Patrick avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jean Claude Patrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Hamilton.
Patrick dances in with a quick combination. Hamilton is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Patrick snaps Hamilton's head back. Hamilton stumbles backwards against the ropes. Patrick steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Hamilton's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Hamilton just didn't come prepared.
