The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor shoots in for a double leg but Israel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Israel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Israel misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Taylor counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Taylor lands a left and a right that send Israel crashing to the mat, dazed. Taylor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Taylor takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Israel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Israel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Israel lands a jab-cross combination.
Taylor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Taylor swings for the body but Israel moves out of range.
Israel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taylor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Taylor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Israel.
Israel slips a jab and a cross from Taylor.

Taylor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Taylor showed some decent athleticism there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Israel is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taylor in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Israel tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Taylor!
