The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans lands a left and a right that send Pires crashing to the mat, dazed. Evans thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Pires is rocked!

It looks like Leonard Pires has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pires fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Evans avoids it really well and circles away.
Oh Pires is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Evans moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Pires! Evans continues to tee off on Pires, landing with a left and a right! Evans connects with a right hand that leaves Pires sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Evans!
