Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kerry Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itsik Obas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Animals as leaders -soraya. Obas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Perfect Gentelman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obas tries to clinch there but Lawson circles away.
Obas misses with a head kick.
Lawson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lawson gets tackled into the cage by Obas. Obas maintains the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Itsik Obas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lawson scores with a sloppy right hand. Obas should have avoided that one.

It looks like Itsik Obas has been cut.

Lawson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lawson throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Obas's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Lawson dives in looking to finish as Obas flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Lawson's strikes! Lawson is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Obas's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Obas was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

In his post fight interview, Kerry Lawson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
