Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Magalhaes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Azinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magalhaes comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Aint no Grave. Azinger comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Racoon - No mercy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Paul Azinger will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vinicius Magalhaes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Azinger!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magalhaes tries for a takedown but Azinger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Azinger stuffs the takedown.
Magalhaes fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vinicius Magalhaes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Azinger cracks a nice hook into Magalhaes's ribs.

Azinger has closed the distance and engaged Magalhaes in a clinch.
Magalhaes wants a takedown but no success here.
Magalhaes goes for a takedown in the clinch but Azinger prevents it.
Azinger lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Vinicius Magalhaes has been cut.
Azinger digs a right hand underneath Magalhaes's ribcage. Magalhaes let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Magalhaes wants a takedown.
Still in the clinch, Azinger scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Azinger misses with some punches.

Magalhaes goes for a takedown attempt but Azinger pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Magalhaes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Azinger is fending him off so far but Magalhaes persists. Nope, Azinger circles away and we're back to standing.

Magalhaes tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Azinger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Magalhaes, pushing him back against the cage.
Azinger misses with a punch to the body.

Magalhaes wants the takedown. Azinger is fighting it off but Magalhaes persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Azinger's guard against the cage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Magalhaes trying to control but Azinger is working from the bottom.
Azinger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Azinger is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Well, if Azinger is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Magalhaes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Azinger works his way into side control.

Azinger has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Azinger scores with a jab to the body.
Azinger connects with a body shot.

Magalhaes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Magalhaes lands in his opponent's guard.

Azinger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Azinger's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Azinger duly obliges.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Azinger bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Magalhaes's head backwards.
Azinger throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Nice shot lands for Azinger.
Azinger connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Magalhaes is rocked!
Paul Azinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Azinger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Magalhaes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Magalhaes is breathing heavily.
Magalhaes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Azinger delivers a nice body kick.
Azinger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Azinger fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Magalhaes on the side of the head.
Oh Magalhaes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Azinger has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Azinger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Azinger lands with an uppercut that bounces Magalhaes off the cage and back into range.
Azinger tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Azinger dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Azinger dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Magalhaes. That did some damage!
Magalhaes seems to have got his legs back now.
A combination from Azinger does no damage.
Azinger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Magalhaes.
Azinger lands with an overhand left.
Azinger and Magalhaes are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Azinger throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Magalhaes into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Azinger knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Paul Azinger!
During a confident post fight interview, Paul Azinger thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
