Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hawk Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mon Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk Gunner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hawk Gunner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mon Key!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Key misses with a takedown attempt - Gunner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gunner leaves Key with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gunner connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.


It looks like Mon Key has been cut.
Gunner bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Key's head.

Gunner moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Key goes down! Can Gunner finish him!?


Key is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gunner trying to control but Key is working from the bottom.

Gunner's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gunner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Key is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Key on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Gunner uses his free foot to push down on Key's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Key.

Key tries to reverse the position but Gunner maintains control.
Gunner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Key bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Key throws a strike but Gunner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Hawk Gunner wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Key walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Key drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gunner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Key is working away from the top position though.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gunner wants to sweep here but Key controlling him for the moment.

Key is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
