Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Daris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorge Santos looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Junior Daris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Santos!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Daris napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Santos looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Santos is looking to take a break and control but Daris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Santos might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Daris kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Santos is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Daris manages to get to full guard.
Daris manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Santos tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Daris tries a head kick but it misses.
Santos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Daris closes this distance looking for a takedown but Santos circles away.

Santos tries to land knees in the clinch but Daris avoids the damage to the body.

Daris ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Daris no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Daris darts in and clinches Santos up against the cage.
Daris is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Santos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Daris walks away with a smile on his face. Santos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Daris is looking to clinch but Santos is avoiding it.

Daris throws out a powerful jab.
Daris swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Daris throws a sloppy head kick and Santos moves out of range easily.

Santos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Daris is trying to defend but Santos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Daris is not content to let Santos control the position.

Daris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Santos is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Santos is trying to work for a kimura but Daris is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santos looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Santos tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Daris avoids it.

Daris pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Santos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Daris pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Junior Daris is winning the standup battle so far.
Santos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Daris.
Daris tries to clinch but Santos moves out of range.
Santos fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Junior Daris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Santos.

Daris lands a left and a right that send Santos crashing to the mat, dazed. Daris thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Santos is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Daris ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Santos's jaw. Santos's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Daris does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Junior Daris!
