Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Saint Bernard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Cantrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leon Cantrell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Bernard finds it's target.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Cantrell shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cantrell showed some decent athleticism there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cantrell seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

It looks like Cantrell might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Leon Cantrell has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Cantrell throws a leg kick which misses Bernard's front leg but catches the back leg as Bernard tries to avoid it.
Bernard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cantrell circles away quickly and effectively.
Bernard lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bernard moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

A jab-cross combination lands for Bernard and sends Cantrell crashing to the mat! Bernard follows him down to the mat - Cantrell regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Cantrell has hold of Bernard's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bernard manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
