Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shingo Takeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koshi Tatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takeda changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tatsu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tatsu is trying to improve his position.
Tatsu sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Tatsu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tatsu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takeda is working away from the top position though.
Takeda wants to stand up but Tatsu is controlling the position.

Tatsu is trying to stand.
Takeda could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Takeda stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Tatsu is trying to keep Takeda in close.

Tatsu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Takeda wants to get up but he can't break Tatsu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Takeda avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Tatsu looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Takeda has picked Tatsu up and slammed him! Tatsu can't keep hold of the triangle and Takeda manages to pass to side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Takeda is not content to let Tatsu control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tatsu decides to stand up, so the ref orders Takeda to his feet.

Tatsu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Takeda's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Takeda's back!
