PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Will Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastiao da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Robinson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lost In Space. Sebastiao da Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Silva takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Robinson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

da Silva goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Robinson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

da Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

da Silva is looking to work his way around to Robinson's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

da Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Robinson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Robinson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Robinson!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
da Silva is looking for a sweep.

da Silva walks straight into a right hand from Robinson - that's dropped him! Robinson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save da Silva from any more punishment! da Silva complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
