Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryant Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bryant Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ari Gold!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gold swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ward counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Ari Gold has been cut.
Gold throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Ward counters with a crisp one two that drops Gold! Ward thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gold to his feet! Gold is in big trouble!
Gold looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ward lands with a nice body punch.

Ward shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ward showed some decent athleticism there.

Gold is rocked!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ward is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gold!
Gold is still in real trouble! Can Ward finish him?

Gold seems to have recovered his senses.

Gold tries to hold on but Ward postures up.
Gold really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ward. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gold has given up his back.

Ward is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Gold has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Gold takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Ward lands with an uppercut that bounces Gold off the cage and back into range.
Ward connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Gold covering up! Ward comes in with a big uppercut and Gold goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
