The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Arcine counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Arcine.

Arcine unloads with some shots from mount but Reilly bucks and avoids them well.

Arcine tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Reilly sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Reilly wants to get back to his feet but Arcine is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Reilly has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Arcine is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Reilly.
Reilly is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Arcine stops Reilly from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Arcine in particular looking to stall.

Arcine's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reilly gets back to full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Melvin Arcine hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Arcine wants to control the pace but Reilly is squirming around nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arcine seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reilly does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Reilly is looking for a sweep. Arcine is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Reilly manages to get to full guard.

Arcine content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Reilly has locked up a guillotine! Reilly's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Arcine is holding on here and Reilly must be using up a lot of energy. Arcine has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Reilly gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
