The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Valez but Valez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Head tries to clinch up.
Head closes the distance and clinches up with Valez, looking for a takedown. Head pushes Valez against the cage but Valez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Head fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Guillermo Valez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hammer Head.
Head on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Head is rocked!

It looks like Hammer Head has been cut.
Head throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Valez's waist but Valez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Head off to one side.
Head is still on wobbly legs! Can Valez finish him?
Valez stuffs the takedown.
Head seems to have recovered his senses.
