PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pentti Jr Pentele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Brown might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to James brown - Superbad. Pentele has chosen Push it to the limit as his entrance music. Brown has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown thows a body shot but no joy.

Brown gets tackled into the cage by Pentele. Pentele maintains the clinch.
Brown is breathing heavily.
Brown misses with some punches.

Pentele lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Brown throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pentele blocks it with crossed arms.

Pentele drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Pentti Jr Pentele wasn't active enough on the ground.

Pentele had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brown defends it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pentele misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pentele shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pentele seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Pentele is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Brown is forced to tap! Great finish!
