Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Castellano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reeves comes to the cage accompanied by LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out . Castellano has chosen Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Reeves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rich Castellano!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Reeves - that will leave a mark!
Reeves looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Castellano takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Castellano misses with a takedown attempt - Reeves sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Reeves cracks Castellano with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Reeves tries a head kick but it misses.

Castellano fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Reeves to the ground. Castellano is now in Reeves's guard.
Reeves is striking from the bottom but Castellano uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Castellano is nestled in close to Reeves, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Castellano takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Castellano is pressing down on Reeves's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reeves is holding on for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Castellano is controlling the pace.
Castellano moves into full mount! Reeves won't be happy about that!
Castellano cracks Reeves with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Castellano is landing with some decent strikes but Reeves is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Castellano's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Castellano tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Reeves is bucking up trying to escape but Castellano cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Castellano lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Castellano cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Castellano has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Castellano tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Castellano is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Reeves can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Reeves is rocked!


It looks like David Reeves has been cut.

Oh Reeves is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reeves is in a horrible position here. Castellano smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
