Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Rood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rood has chosen - as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brad Rood was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, Hunter Rose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brad Rood!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rood lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rose takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rood bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rose's head backwards.
Rood misses the shot to the body.

Rood throws out a loose jab but Rose uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rose throws a body punch but Rood moves out of range.
Rood shoots in looking for a takedown. Rose tries to sprawl out of it but Rood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rose manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rood lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Rose counters with a stiff right hand.
Rood connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rose's hands.
Rose thows a left - swing and a miss!

Rood closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rose tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rose regains half guard.
Rood tries to pass to full mount but Rose defends it.
Rood stalling away here and it's allowed Rose to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Rose wants to sweep here but Rood controlling him for the moment.
