And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge Cruz!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Grimes finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Grimes.
Jorge Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz takes a swing at Grimes's ribcage but misses.
Grimes throws a series of punches but Cruz moves out of range.
Grimes lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cruz will feel that in the morning.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grimes tries to land a front kick but Cruz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Grimes throws out a leg kick but Cruz moves out of range and Grimes only half commits.
Grimes tries to clinch but Cruz is having none of it.
Cruz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Grimes throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Grimes doesn't manage to clinch there - Cruz circles away.
Cruz keeps the fight on the outside.
Grimes lands a leg kick that knocks Cruz off balance momentarily.
Cruz looks winded!
Grimes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A slow jab from Grimes misses its intended target.
Grimes swings away with a leg kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Grimes can pounce on him.
Grimes scores with a kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grimes connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Good leg kick by Grimes there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Grimes tries a head kick but it misses.
Grimes looks to throw the jab but Cruz is out of range.

Grimes lands a big head kick that sends Cruz tumbling to the mat! Grimes takes a step backwards and waves Cruz back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Cruz is rocked!

It looks like Jorge Cruz has been cut.
Cruz walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Grimes! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Buster Grimes really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that STEEL PENN'S 160 OF STEEL $50 Hilo logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
