PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dokonjonosuke Fujisaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saguro Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fujisaki might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N' Roses. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takada swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Takada fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Takada throws a right hand that Fujisaki ducks under and follows up with a left that Fujisaki also avoids with ease.
Takada shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fujisaki sprawls well. Fujisaki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Takada gets slowly back to his feet.

Fujisaki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Takada to the ground. Fujisaki is now in Takada's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Takada has his foot on Fujisaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fujisaki works his way back into a safe position though.
Takada wants to sweep but no luck.

Fujisaki drops back, looking for a kneebar! Takada looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Takada looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Takada!

Takada slips a nice elbow through Fujisaki's hands, connecting with Fujisaki's forehead.
Fujisaki wants to improve his position but Takada is controlling well.

Takada got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fujisaki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Takada has managed to get both his arms back between Fujisaki's legs - danger averted.

Fujisaki has control of Takada's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Takada regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Dokonjonosuke Fujisaki will probably get the nod.

Takada fails with the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Takada.
Takada shoots in looking for a takedown. Fujisaki tries to sprawl out of it but Takada keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fujisaki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dokonjonosuke Fujisaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saguro Takada.

Takada closes the distance and clinches up with Fujisaki, looking for a takedown. Takada pushes Fujisaki against the cage but Fujisaki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Saguro Takada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Takada shoots in for a takedown but Fujisaki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fujisaki wants to finish this one by submission but Takada is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fujisaki.

Fujisaki is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Takada is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Takada flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Fujisaki anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Takada and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Fujisaki slips an arm under Takada chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Fujisaki has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Fujisaki is squeezing on Takada like an anaconda would it's prey. Takada fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
