Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rolf Thorkildsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Shadie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thorkildsen comes into the arena with AC/DC - Hell's Bells blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Thorkildsen. Shadie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thorkildsen doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Shadie counter with a right hand.

Thorkildsen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Thorkildsen throws a shot from downtown. Shadie moves away and avoids it.

Thorkildsen looks to score with a jab to the body but Shadie is just out of range.
Thorkildsen throws out a leg kick but Shadie moves out of range and Thorkildsen only half commits.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thorkildsen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shadie pulls his head out easily.

Shadie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thorkildsen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Thorkildsen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shadie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shadie's back!
