Carver comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Frank Sinatra - Luck Be a Lady kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver throws a combination that misses
and Lucania counters with a good low kick that Carver was not able to check.

A decent looking cross lands there for Carver.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lucania has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lucania and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Lucania darts in and clinches Carver up against the cage.

Lucania has picked Carver up - he's going for a ride! Lucania dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Carver flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Salvatore Lucania will probably get the nod.

Carver is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Lucania rather than just go for the knockout.

Lucania uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carver has time to react.

Carver will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lucania lands a leg kick that knocks Carver off balance momentarily.

Carver goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Carver is breathing heavily.
Lucania tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Carver manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lucania manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Carver on his heels. He'll look to pass Carver's guard now, I'm sure.

Lucania is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Carver frees his head nicely. Oh but Lucania has switched to an armbar! Carver is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Salvatore Lucania decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
