Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justin Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trendar Mighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, My Curse by Killswitch Engage. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas fails to land the takedown.
Mighty circles away from the clinch attempt.
Thomas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mighty swivels and escapes.

Thomas scores a takedown into full mount!
Mighty is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Mighty wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Thomas trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Mighty is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mighty might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Thomas kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Mighty is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Mighty is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up.

Thomas moves in looking to clinch but Mighty pushes him off.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mighty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mighty is trying to work for a kimura but Thomas is defending well.

Mighty is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thomas is just riding it out for now. Mighty eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mighty in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas is not content to let Mighty control the position.

Mighty takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Thomas wants to hold on but Mighty pushes him away.

Mighty has hold of Thomas's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Thomas manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Thomas tries to hold on but Mighty postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Justin Thomas will probably get the nod.

so Thomas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Thomas tries to free his leg and advance position but Mighty is retaining full guard.
Mighty is controlling Thomas's posture.

Mighty is looking to sinch up a triangle. Thomas throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mighty's body to avoid the submission. Mighty has instead reached around Thomas's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mighty arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
