Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adolf Stifler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Berg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adolf Stifler!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Berg clinches up with Stifler and pushes him back against the cage.
Berg is trying to stall.
Stifler is working for takedown but Berg is calmly controlling the position for now.
Berg unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Stifler misses with a punch on the inside.
Berg is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Stifler goes for a takedown in the clinch but Berg prevents it.
Berg wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stifler tries for a takedown. No joy.
Peter Berg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adolf Stifler.

Stifler is trying to drag Berg to the mat but Berg just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Berg manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Berg is looking to stand up but Stifler isn't so interested in that idea.

Berg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stifler defends it easily.

Berg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stifler manages to get himself to full guard.

Stifler wants to improve his position but Berg is controlling well.

Berg is taking a breather. Stifler says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Berg decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Berg clinches up against the cage.

Stifler wants the takedown. Berg is fighting it off but Stifler persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Berg's guard against the cage.

Berg is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Berg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stifler keeps working.
Berg works his foot free and advances to mount.

Berg is standing up, even though he is in mount.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stifler has Berg pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Berg manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Berg goes for a takedown attempt but Stifler pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

No joy there for Berg, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Adolf Stifler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stifler tries to keep at a distance but Berg has taken the fight into the clinch.
Berg wants to get back to striking at distance but Stifler won't allow it.

Berg jumps guard.
Berg wants to sweep here but Stifler controlling him for the moment.
Stifler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Berg's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Berg wants to control but Stifler passes easily into half guard.
Berg is trying to control but Stifler passes into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stifler can do anything to dispel that myth.

Berg's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Peter Berg wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Stifler shoots in looking for a takedown but Berg manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stifler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Berg jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Stifler has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Berg avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stifler is pressed up against the cage. Berg has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stifler down to the mat. Stifler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Berg displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stifler.
Peter Berg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adolf Stifler.

Stifler tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Stifler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Berg drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stifler pulls his leg out and moves away.
Berg tries for a takedown but Stifler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's time! Berg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stifler lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Berg backwards.

Stifler has hold of one of Berg's legs. Berg is fighting the takedown attempt but Stifler gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Berg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stifler's guard.
Stifler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Berg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Peter Berg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Berg looks up at the clock and then as Stifler takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Berg smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Stifler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Stifler takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Stifler is letting Berg control him for a moment.
Stifler tries to bench press Berg off him but Berg keeps the position.
Berg happy to just control the position for now.
Stifler is looking to reverse the position.
Berg wants to control but Stifler is keeping him busy.

Berg stands up.
Berg shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stifler sprawls well. Stifler wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Berg gets slowly back to his feet.

Stifler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Berg gets a clinch.
Stifler is pressed up against the cage. Berg has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stifler down to the mat. Stifler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Berg looks to land a combination but Stifler avoids it well.
Peter Berg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Stifler turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Stifler manages to end up in side control.
You can see the frustration on Berg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Berg has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stifler avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Berg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Berg is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
