Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Poncho Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Villa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to In One Ear. Ryan has chosen Girlfriend as his entrance music. Poncho Villa has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Poncho Villa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 15 - 2, fighting out of London, Jake Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villa throws a chopping leg kick but Ryan manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Ryan throws out a powerful jab.
Villa plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Villa avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ryan tries to land a leg kick but Villa saw it coming and moves away.
Villa misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Ryan counters with a leg kick.
Ryan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ryan misses with a right hand
and Villa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ryan thinking.
Jake Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Villa or perhaps it was just good defense by Ryan which made him look bad.
Villa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ryan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Villa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ryan avoids the body shot from Villa.
Ryan lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Ryan thuds a left hand into Villa's body.
Ryan misses with an uppercut. Villa saw that one coming.
Villa defending well as Ryan loads up on a big left hand.

Ryan tries to bum rush Villa with a series of wild strikes but Villa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looks like Jake Ryan has been cut.
Villa keeps Ryan at a distance using the push kick.
Ryan misses with a left hand
and Villa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ryan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Ryan throws a nice head kick!
Villa tries for a takedown but Ryan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ryan misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Ryan throws a lazy uppercut
and Villa counters with a straight right hand.
Ryan throws a shot from downtown. Villa moves away and avoids it.
Villa thuds a left hand into Ryan's body.
Ryan throws a big shot that misses.
Ryan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Villa is defended easily by Ryan.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Poncho Villa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A clash of legs there as Villa blocks the low kick.
Ryan misses with a body shot.
Ryan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ryan throws a right hand that misses
and Villa counters with a left and a right that stings Ryan.
Ryan connects with a body shot that sends Villa's belly button to the back.

Ryan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Villa was well out of range. Poor timing from Ryan.
Ryan catches Villa with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nice defenses there by Villa.
Ryan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A cross from Ryan lands.
Ryan misses with a straight left.
No joy there for Villa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ryan misses with a body shot.
Ryan throws an off balance right hand

and Villa counters with a shoot takedown. Ryan fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryan trying to keep a closed guard but Villa is proving a slippery customer.
Ryan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Villa kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Villa looking to sit in guard and control but Ryan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Villa is working an open guard so Ryan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Villa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ryan's hands.
Villa misses with a body shot.
Ryan throws a right hand that misses

and Villa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Villa throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ryan is trying to control the position but Villa postures up.
Ryan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Villa controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Poncho Villa will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jake Ryan's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Villa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ryan won't be happy with that.
Villa grinds an elbow into Ryan's temple.
Villa wants to control but Ryan is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryan keeping his opponent close.
Ryan is trying to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Villa is trying to ground and pound but Ryan uses the momentary lack of control by Villa to regain half guard.

Villa is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Villa is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Jake Ryan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Villa wants to control from the top but Ryan keeps moving.
Villa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Villa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Villa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ryan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Villa looking to pass the guard.

Villa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ryan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ryan has escaped and now he's on top!
Villa wants to stand and escape but Ryan is having none of it.

Villa pulls Ryan in close to prevent any damage.
Villa is trying to control the position but Ryan postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Poncho Villa just wasn't active enough.
Ryan thumps Villa with a low kick.
Ryan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Villa throws a low kick but Ryan avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ryan connects with a crisp jab.
Jake Ryan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Villa walks into a left hand.
A slow jab from Ryan misses its intended target.
Jake Ryan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ryan misses with a lunging right hand

and Villa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ryan's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Villa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ryan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Villa wants to control from the top but Ryan keeps moving.
Villa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Villa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

And that's the end of the fight!
Poncho Villa showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Villa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
