Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Esa Tikkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malietoa Feti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tikkanen comes to the cage accompanied by Bring The Pain. Feti has chosen Testament - Fall of Sipledome as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Esa Tikkanen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Malietoa Feti!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Feti jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Feti with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tikkanen shoots in for a takedown but Feti shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tikkanen throws a one two combo.
Tikkanen displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Tikkanen looks to throw the jab but Feti is out of range.
Feti jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Feti misses with a head kick.
Tikkanen lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Tikkanen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Feti checks a low kick from Tikkanen.
The fighters circle momentarily. Feti darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A shot to the body from Tikkanen misses
and Feti counters with an outside leg kick.
Feti scores with a hook.
Feti is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tikkanen.
Feti fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tikkanen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Feti motions for Tikkanen to come forward. Feti throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tikkanen throws a jab when Feti was well out of range.
Tikkanen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Feti has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tikkanen wants to pass the guard but Feti is keeping the position.

Feti seems keen to control Tikkanen's posture.
Feti has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Tikkanen has passed into side control.
Tikkanen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Feti keeps working.
Tikkanen is trying to ground and pound but Feti uses the momentary lack of control by Tikkanen to regain half guard.

Feti is trying to get back to full guard.
Tikkanen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Tikkanen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Feti has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tikkanen is working away from the top position though.

Feti holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Feti trying to hold on to Tikkanen's head to control him but Tikkanen postures up.
Tikkanen moves into full mount! Feti won't be happy about that!
Tikkanen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Feti is looking to escape.
Tikkanen is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Tikkanen extends the arm and Feti is forced to tap!
