Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manny Paqiuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Bordin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bordin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Paqiuo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bordin's guard.

Paqiuo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bordin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Paqiuo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bordin, up you get!
Bordin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Bordin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Paqiuo is fending him off so far but Bordin persists. Nope, Paqiuo circles away and we're back to standing.
Paqiuo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Paqiuo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bordin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Paqiuo cracks Bordin with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Bordin tries to close the distance and clinch but Paqiuo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bordin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Paqiuo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Paqiuo.

Bordin is rocked!
Paqiuo lands a big right hook! Bordin looks hurt but is still standing! Paqiuo lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Bordin falls down and Paqiuo dives in with a huge hammer fist! Bordin's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Paqiuo runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Manny Paqiuo!
