Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Putin gets a double leg takedown into Jones's guard.
Putin controlling from the top position.
Putin throwing strikes but missing.

We're going to have a standup here because Vladimir Putin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Putin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jones misses with a body kick.

Putin darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage.
Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Putin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Putin manages to break the clinch.
Jones takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Putin drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Putin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones is trying to control the position but Putin postures up.
Putin works over Jones with some ground and pound from guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Putin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Putin's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Putin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Putin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Putin escapes and gets back to his feet.

Putin looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Putin lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jones looks winded!

Putin has taken the fight to the clinch.

Putin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Putin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Putin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Jones misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Putin blocks an elbow strike from Jones.
Jones throws an elbow but it misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Putin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Putin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jones's calf.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Putin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Putin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones!
