The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Krusic is defended easily by Molchanov.
Krusic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Molchanov.
Molchanov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Krusic pinned against the cage. Krusic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We're going to have a standup here because Igor Molchanov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Krusic slips a straight right by Molchanov.
Molchanov tries to close the distance and clinch but Krusic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Krusic's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Molchanov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krusic on the ground.

Krusic pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Lemmy Krusic has got the better of the ground game so far.

Krusic takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Molchanov is in a horrible position here. Krusic smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Molchanov is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Krusic is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Molchanov is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Molchanov flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Krusic anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Molchanov and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Krusic slips an arm under Molchanov chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Krusic has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Krusic is squeezing on Molchanov like an anaconda would it's prey. Molchanov fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
