PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Will Messinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willians Trautman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Messinger comes to the cage accompanied by Huckleberry by Ichabod. Trautman has chosen Bolt Thrower - No guts, no glory as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messinger slaps away a takedown attempt from Trautman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Will Messinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trautman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Messinger.
Nice takedown defense from Trautman. No joy for Messinger on that attempt.
Trautman wants to clinch up but Messinger keeps it at a distance.

Trautman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Messinger on his heels. He'll look to pass Messinger's guard now, I'm sure.

Trautman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Messinger manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Trautman has Messinger in his guard.
Messinger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trautman is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Messinger rolls with it to try and escape but Trautman cranks on the arm and Messinger is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
