The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roy lands with a shot to the body.
Roy gets caught napping as Sosa dives in and scores a takedown. Roy manages to retain guard.
Sosa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sosa trying to control but Roy is working from the bottom.
Roy wants to sweep here but Sosa controlling him for the moment.

Roy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Roy manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sosa's face.

Sosa defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Roy.
Sosa is looking to improve his position but Roy isn't that keen on the idea.

Sosa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Roy lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sosa hang on?

Sosa is trying to escape the mount.
Roy is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Roy lands a big shot there that rocks Sosa but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Sosa is in a horrible position here. Roy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Roy is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sosa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sosa shrugs it off.
Roy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sosa is in all sorts of trouble here.
