Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandor Clegane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clegane has chosen Goodbye as his entrance music. Sandor Clegane will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Sandor Clegane!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clegane throws a right and a left that Newton avoids nicely.

Clegane rushes Newton and presses him up against the cage.
Newton tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Clegane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Good leg kick by Newton there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Newton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Newton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Clegane is trying desperately to improve position.
Newton thowing shots but they're missing.
Clegane is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Newton wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Clegane tries to reverse the position but Newton maintains control.
Newton throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Clegane because Newton loaded up on that one.

Newton goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Clegane is on top in guard.

Newton is looking for a triangle here but Clegane uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Clegane landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Newton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Clegane decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Sandor Clegane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Newton ducks right into an uppercut from Clegane.

Clegane looks to throw the jab but Newton is out of range.

and Newton counters with a nice low kick that buckles Clegane's knee momentarily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clegane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Newton manages to avoid it.

Clegane looks to score with a jab to the body but Newton is just out of range.
Newton throws a leg kick which misses Clegane's front leg but catches the back leg as Clegane tries to avoid it.
Clegane wants to clinch up but Newton keeps it at a distance.

It looks like Sandor Clegane has been cut.
Newton with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Clegane looks winded!
Clegane takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Clegane takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Newton moves out of range as Clegane strikes.
Newton throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Newton.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Newton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Clegane in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Newton is pushing down on Clegane's leg trying to pass to half guard. Clegane is fighting to maintain full guard but Newton has managed to sneak the leg through.
Clegane tries to roll over but Newton keeps him under control.
Newton is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Newton passes into half guard.
Newton is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Clegane reverses the position - he's now on top in Newton's guard.

Newton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Clegane is aware though and is defending well.

Clegane wants to break the clinch but can't.
Newton unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Clegane lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Newton can't find room to land a body shot as Clegane controls the action.

Clegane pushes Newton back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Newton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
