Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Enzo Rinaldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tor Eckman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Enzo Rinaldi has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Enzo Rinaldi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tor Eckman!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rinaldi tries a head kick but it misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Eckman.
Rinaldi slaps away a takedown attempt from Eckman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rinaldi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Eckman.
Eckman slips a jab and a cross from Rinaldi.
Eckman shoots for a double leg takedown but Rinaldi sprawls well. He's pushed Eckman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Enzo Rinaldi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tor Eckman.
Rinaldi misses with a head kick.
Rinaldi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rinaldi wants it to stay on the feet.

Rinaldi takes a swing at Eckman's ribcage but misses.
Rinaldi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rinaldi gets caught flat footed, as Eckman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rinaldi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Eckman lands a nice short elbow.
Eckman is pressing down on Rinaldi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rinaldi is holding on for now.
Eckman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rinaldi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eckman winds up and cracks Rinaldi with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Eckman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Eckman is keen to just control but Rinaldi is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Eckman stands up over Rinaldi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eckman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rinaldi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rinaldi can't keep his opponent in guard - Eckman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Eckman is controlling the pace.

Eckman moves into full mount! Rinaldi won't be happy about that!
Eckman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eckman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Eckman looking to control but Rinaldi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Eckman lands a big shot there that rocks Rinaldi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eckman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rinaldi down.
Rinaldi takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Rinaldi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Eckman scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Rinaldi is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Eckman can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
