Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Koenig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gus Solonik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koenig throws a series of punches but Solonik moves out of range.

Solonik drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Koenig gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Koenig tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Solonik's elbow.
Solonik seems to have recovered his senses.
Solonik is trying desperately to land a takedown but Koenig is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Solonik.

Solonik tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Solonik lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Solonik has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Koenig regains guard immediately.

Solonik drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Koenig manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Solonik has Koenig in his guard.
Koenig stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solonik swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Solonik makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Solonik changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Koenig looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
