Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Gabble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marley comes to the cage accompanied by Bob Marley-One Love. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Gabble!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Marley.
Marley lands a body shot.
Marley is looking to clinch but Gabble is avoiding it.
Marley moves away from the strike by Gabble.
Marley throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A bone on bone clash there as Gabble blocks the leg kick.
Marley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dan Gabble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gabble looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Marley avoids the body shot from Gabble.
Gabble shoots in for a double leg but Marley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gabble is looking to clinch but Marley is avoiding it.
Bob Marley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gabble swings for the body but Marley moves out of range.
Marley connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Gabble tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Marley counters with a left to the body.
Gabble blocks a head kick by Marley.
Marley throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Marley has Gabble up against the cage in a clinch.
Marley misses with a punch to the body.

Marley slows down the pace here.

Gabble manages to pull guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Marley trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gabble's guard.
Gabble lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Marley!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marley is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gabble with a couple of short strikes.

Gabble can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Marley is looking to escape.
Gabble misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Marley is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Gabble takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Marley is bucking up trying to escape but Gabble cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gabble lands a big shot there that rocks Marley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Marley is squirming around, avoiding Gabble's attempts to control the action.
Marley flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Gabble lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Marley hang on?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marley's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Marley is squirming around, avoiding Gabble's attempts to control the action.
Gabble is in the full mount, landing strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Gabble dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fight stays on the outside here - Marley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Marley throws a nice outside leg kick.
Gabble misses with a straight left.
Gabble is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marley.
Marley lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Gabble shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Marley manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Marley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gabble throws a big right hand that misses.
Gabble with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Gabble throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Marley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gabble on the ground.
Gabble is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Gabble wants to pass the guard but Marley is keeping the position.
Gabble with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Gabble trying to control the position from guard on top but Marley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gabble advances position into side control!
Gabble misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Marley is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gabble asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Gabble advances to full mount.

Gabble prevents Marley from getting the reversal.
Gabble lands with some strikes.
Marley working to try and regain half guard.
Gabble trying to control but Marley is having none of it.
Gabble is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Marley can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gabble looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dan Gabble showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Marley scores with a shoulder strike.
Marley misses with a hook to the ribs.
Gabble is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Marley to keep the fight standing.
Marley scores a nice knee to the body.

Marley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gabble tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marley with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gabble manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gabble throws a body punch but Marley moves out of range.
Marley is looking to clinch but Gabble is avoiding it.

Gabble stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Marley.
Marley is looking to clinch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Marley.
Gabble pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nice defenses there by Marley.
Gabble looks to score with a jab to the body but Marley is just out of range.
Marley tries to clinch but Gabble is having none of it.
Marley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marley lands a jab to the nose.
Marley lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gabble will feel that in the morning.
Bob Marley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dan Gabble is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Gabble throws a good cross that connects.
Marley tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Marley ducks under a wild hook from Gabble.
Marley misses with a few strikes there.
Marley connects with a nice looking jab.
Gabble throws a hook but Marley blocks it.
Marley avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

I think Gabble has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
