Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Ponce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ponce's choice of entrance music: here comes the boom. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponce throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dogg moves in looking to clinch but Ponce pushes him off.
Ponce tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dogg swivels and escapes.
Ponce shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dogg as he jumps to the side.
Dogg dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dogg could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dogg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Juan Ponce has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ponce is squirming around, avoiding Dogg's attempts to control the action.

Dogg stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ponce is defended easily by Dogg.
Good leg kick by Dogg there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ponce throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ponce closes the distance and pushes Dogg back into the cage.
Ponce tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ponce misses with a hook to the ribs.

Ponce pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dogg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ponce sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dogg somewhat.

Ponce fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dogg avoids it really well and circles away.

Ponce fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
