The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sunia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bori sprawls well. Bori wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sunia gets slowly back to his feet.

Sunia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bori wants to improve his position but Sunia is controlling well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sunia connects with a nice short shot to Bori's temple.

Sunia is looking for a kimura but Bori is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sunia to get the leverage.
