The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearsen bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Pearsen throws a jab but it's blocked by Susi.

Pearsen closes the distance and clinches.

Susi jumps into guard, dragging Pearsen to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Susi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pearsen has picked Susi up and slammed him! Susi can't keep hold of the triangle and Pearsen manages to pass to side control!
Pearsen has control of an arm but Susi manages to advance to Pearsen's back!
Pearsen tries to escape but Susi has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Pearsen controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Pearsen manages to reverse the position and now he's in Susi's guard. Nice work there by Pearsen.
Pearsen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Susi has his foot on Pearsen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pearsen works his way back into a safe position though.

Susi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pearsen defends well.
Pearsen wants to control from the top but Susi keeps moving.

Susi has his feet on Pearsen's thighs here. He's pushed Pearsen off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pearsen screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
