Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jessy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jessy James is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James gets caught flat footed, as Hogan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
James has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hogan has passed into side control.
James is looking to regain half guard here but Hogan keeps moving and retains side control.

Hogan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hogan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hogan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

James throws Hogan to one side and escapes!

Hogan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hogan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
James is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

James defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hogan.

Hogan jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… James is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by James and Hogan has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

James wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Hogan has ideas of his own. He's got hold of James's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! James is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Hogan!
