Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacoby Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lombard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Retaliator. Jacoby Lombard is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hunter Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacoby Lombard!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lombard on the side of the head.
Scott swinging wildly here.
Scott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lombard can pounce on him.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lombard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Scott is being controlled here.
Scott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lombard on the ground.
Lombard misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Scott is trying to buck Lombard off.
Scott is not content to let Lombard control the position.

Lombard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Scott has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lombard tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Scott can't do much from the bottom here.
Scott tries to improve position but can't.

Lombard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Lombard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Scott has escaped the position, nice work there.

Scott is trying to get back to half guard.
Scott can't do much from the bottom here.
Scott tries to escape but Lombard is in control.

Lombard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Scott, who protects the arm well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lombard in side control lands a decent elbow.
The ground and pound from Lombard seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Lombard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Scott being controlled for a moment.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Lombard advances to full mount.
Lombard trying to control but Scott is having none of it.

Lombard lands a nice shot to the head.

Lombard working for a submission but Scott is keeping him at bay.
Lombard with shots to the head and body - Scott looks very uncomfortable down there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Scott is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacoby Lombard dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lombard throws a right and a left that Scott avoids nicely.
Lombard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Scott.
Scott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Lombard shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Scott manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Scott can't keep his opponent in guard - Lombard advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Lombard content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Jacoby Lombard has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lombard takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lombard.
Lombard is looking to advance position but Scott won't allow it.
Lombard trying to control the action but Scott is working from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Scott wants to get back to his feet.
Lombard content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jacoby Lombard wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lombard throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Scott on the side of the head.

Lombard looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Scott!
Scott is in all sorts of trouble here.

Lombard looking for a guillotine from mount but Scott is having none of it.
Scott is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lombard controlling the position easily from mount.

Lombard goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Scott is on top in guard.

Lombard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lombard wants to sweep but no luck.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Scott scoring with punches to the head and body.

Lombard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Scott is aware though and is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lombard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Scott is one step ahead there.
Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but Lombard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Scott looking to pass the guard.
Scott wants to get up but he can't break Lombard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Scott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lombard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scott has managed to get both his arms back between Lombard's legs - danger averted.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lombard is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Scott frees his head nicely. Oh but Lombard has switched to an armbar! Scott is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Jacoby Lombard!
Jacoby Lombard seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
