Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hudson Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Oliveira is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Diaz throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Oliveira escapes and throws Diaz's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Diaz takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Oliveira decides to stand up, so the ref orders Diaz to his feet.

It looks like Hudson Oliveira has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Patrick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Oliveira dives in and scores a takedown into Diaz's guard.
Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oliveira defends well.

Oliveira seems to have recovered his senses.
Diaz is looking for a triangle here but Oliveira uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Oliveira in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Diaz is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Oliveira has hold of Diaz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Diaz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Oliveira cranks the arm and Diaz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Diaz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
