Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Mcgarry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason Potnoir!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Potnoir misses.

Mcgarry gets the takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
You can see the frustration on Potnoir's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mcgarry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mcgarry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Potnoir is trying to control Mcgarry's posture but Mcgarry avoids it.
Potnoir is looking for a sweep.

Mcgarry tries for a kimura but Potnoir is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Potnoir struggling a bit here.
Potnoir is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mcgarry asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Potnoir bucks up and tries to throw Mcgarry off but instead Mcgarry has got his back!
You can see the frustration on Potnoir's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Mcgarry is not going to allow Potnoir to sit and survive in this position.

Potnoir defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Mcgarry's arms.

Mcgarry has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Potnoir has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mcgarry has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Potnoir.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mcgarry is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Potnoir has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Mcgarry has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Potnoir taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Mcgarry doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tommy Mcgarry!
